This Battery Cutoff Switch will disconnect the battery from the rest of your electrical system in case of an accident or electrical short. Cutoff switch is required by most sanctioned bodies when relocating the battery to the rear of the car (see rule book for specifics in your sanctioning body). Be aware when ordering switches to pick one that has a high enough amp rating. Most are only good to 85 or 125 amps. This switch is rated 185 amps of constant current and 1000 amp surge capacity.
